Submerged

Vacation Bible School, 2016 is now “In the books.”  Hopefully what was learned and experienced this week will make a difference in the lives of the children, youth, and adults for a lifetime.  This year’s theme was “Submerged:  Finding Truth Below the Surface.”  What a blessing to have a Children’s Minister, Preschool Minister, Church Staff and over 400 adults and teenagers who invested in the lives of children this week to tell them about and show them God’s love and teach them about Jesus.

Some observations:
* There is much joy and excitement when people come together to study God’s Word.
* We choose to dive into God’s Word.
* Digging deep into God’s truths requires time, effort and discipline.
* Treasures from God and His Word are waiting to be discovered and claimed.
* Knowing what God desires requires trust, faith, and obedience.
* When we know and experience God’s love and message, we need to joyfully share it with others.

They saw the works of the Lord, his wonderful deeds in the deep.
Psalm 107:24

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
Psalm 119:105

But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29

He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.
Daniel 2:22

They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.

I Timothy 3:9
