Our youngest
granddaughter is in the process of potty training this week. Some lessons have been observed that transfer
to other situations as well.
* Desire and willingness
help keep the goal in focus
* New challenges take
time and effort to master
* Accidents happen
* Messes need to be
cleaned up quickly and thoroughly
* It can be beneficial
to have someone come alongside the person for the task at hand
* It is important to
listen and respond when a request for help is spoken
* Accountability makes a
difference
* Whether playing or
working, it is important to take a break as needed
* Encouragement and
praise are great motivators
* There is much
excitement and joy when goals are successfully accomplished
Whatever the task at
hand this week, may we all find helpful reminders and lessons to embrace and
apply in order to accomplish the desired outcome.
Therefore
encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Each
of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
Romans 15:2
Finally,
brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one
another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be
with you.
2 Corinthians 13:11
I remember those days of potty training 3 little guys! Honestly, I think girls must be easier to train. Loved the comments that made it all seem like a worthwhile effort!
