Stem Cells have been harvested

Three doctors, Dr. Andrade, an anesthesiologist, and a surgeon successfully harvested Debbie's stem cells!  Everything went extremely well.  Dr. Andrade was most pleased with the richness and the volume they were able to harvest.  The anesthesiologist did a spinal tap which takes a small amount of stem cells directly into the brain.  She is receiving most of the rest of it by IV at the this time!  She will also receive a final bit of her stems cells from a fourth doctor who will inject it into her hip tomorrow.

Here are a couple of photos.

  6. Hey Debbie!! Please know that I'm praying for you. And by the way....you and my husband, Dan, have something in common. He too had a stem cell transplant to CURE his Hodgkin's lymphoma! I understand the importance of being able to harvest your own stem cells. Dan is currently into his 5th year of remission! Praise God and the doctors at MD Anderson Hospital.

  8. You two would definitely be voted "Cutest Couple in Houston, Texas"! I think Mrs. Debbie's smile is what God's Word is talking about when it describes, "unspeakable joy!" The "light of Jesus" in both of you could light up an airport runway!
    You both reflect Psalm 19:8
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant giving light to the eyes.
    Joyfully praying,
    Morgan & Staci
